There's another verse in the Bible that says "no can serve two masters". That means we only have one master to worship and obey. But this is the struggle most of us go through. Some times we become our master, some times our ambitioins and desires become our masters; and some times even other people become our master. I also struggle with this a lot because even though I clearly know who my master is, many times I live as if I was the master, or my hobbies are my master. God should always be our number one priority and if he isn't then there will be a lot of conflict in our lives.
